Sacred text Holy Akilathirattu Ammanai is similar to other vedic texts and agamas which have been compiled several thousands of years back. It narrates the life history of Lord Vaikundar, an avatar of Lord Narayana who took birth in human form. The story, tells reasons for the incarnation of Lord Narayana and then Lord Vaikundar’s real life story in bhoologa till he returned back to Vaikundaloga. The entire contents in the said text has reportedly been first revealed to Goddess Mahalakshmi by Lord Narayana in the form of dialogue and subsequently Lord Narayana narrated the same to Arigopalan Cedar through his dream during Lord Vaikunda avatar. They have been written in the form of ballad in Tamil language. Holy Akilathirattu Ammanai text is the only testimony and available recorded authoritative document that reveal the true-life history of Lord Vaikundar who was the incarnate of Lord Narayana.
